Rental Conditions & Booking Terms

1. General Terms

By renting a bicycle from us, you agree to the following terms and conditions. These terms apply to all rentals unless otherwise stated in writing.

2. Booking & Payment

  • All bookings are to be paid in full at the time of reservation unless otherwise agreed.
  • Prices include the rental of the bicycle, helmet, and any accessories explicitly listed in the booking.
  • Cancellations made within 24 hours/days may be eligible for a refund; late cancellations or no‑shows are non‑refundable.

3. Customer Responsibility

  • You are responsible for the bicycle and accessories provided from the moment it is handed over to you until it is returned.
  • You must use the bicycle responsibly and in accordance with Faroese traffic laws.
  • Ride within your own abilities and avoid unnecessary risks.
  • You are responsible for any damage caused by misuse, negligence, or accidents.
  • Lost or stolen bicycles will be charged at the replacement value.

4. Safety Requirements

  • Always follow local traffic regulations.
  • Be aware of other road users, changing weather conditions, and the unique Faroese terrain.
  • Helmets are strongly recommended and are included in your rental.
  • Do not ride under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

5. Weather & Road Conditions

  • The Faroe Islands are known for rapidly changing weather.
  • You must adjust your riding to current conditions and avoid routes that exceed your skill level.
  • We reserve the right to cancel or modify bookings if weather conditions make cycling unsafe. A refund will occur.

6. Mechanical Issues

  • If the bicycle develops a mechanical problem during your rental, stop riding immediately.
  • Contact us for assistance; do not attempt repairs unless we have instructed you to do so.
  • Mechanical issues caused by normal use will not be charged to the customer.

7. Liability

  • You ride at your own risk.
  • We are not liable for injuries, accidents, or damage to personal belongings during the rental period.
  • In case of an emergency, call 112.

8. Return of the Bicycle

  • The bicycle must be returned at the agreed time and location.
  • The bicycle must be returned in the same condition as received, except for normal wear.

10. Liability & Insurance

You are responsible for riding safely and for any injuries or damages that may occur to yourself or others while using the bicycle. We recommend that you check your personal insurance to make sure you are covered for cycling activities, including potential accidents or liability. We cannot be held responsible for accidents or injuries during your rental.

11. Age Requirement

Participants must be at least 18 years old to join guided tours or to rent an e‑bike. By completing a booking or sending a request, you confirm that you meet the minimum age requirement.
